During the day or when there is light, it can be a challenge sometimes to see the red light.

Floodlight Camera has a reset button beside the 'SD Card' slot. With the pin that the camera came with, or a paper clip, push the reset button in for about 5 to 10 second, until you hear the floodlight chime. That is an indication that it has been reset. Within another 30 to 40 seconds you will hear the floodlight chime again and it will be ready for pairing with the smart life app. It will begin to flash red on and off.
Now add the device back to the smart life app.
- Press the + icon at the top right corner and select 'Add Device'
- On the left column, select 'Camera/Lock 3. Then select Smart Camera (Wi-Fi) on the right column
- Since the camera is already reset you can keep selecting next on the app when it says 'Reset the Device' When you get to the 4th screen of 'Reset Device' select 'Got It' then next.
- Select your wi-fi network name and then enter your password, then select Next.
- Hold the QR Code up to the camera lens, approx. 15 to 20 cm (6 to 8 inches) until you hear the camera chime, which should be less than 10 seconds
- Then select 'I heard a prompt (chime) and then select done.
You should now see the camera displaying live footage and the menu.

There is also this method to connect your camera without using the QR Code.
1. Reset the camera and wait until the red indicator light on the front of the Floodlight starts to flash On and Off repeatedly.
2. On the Smart Life App select Add Device
3. Select Camera & Lock
4. Select Smart Camera (Wi-Fi)
5. Select at the very top right (QR Code for Camera)
6. Then select Wi-Fi Mode
7. Since the camera is already reset and the red light should be flashing on and off, select Next, Next, and Next
8. At the bottom please select EZ Mode
9. Enter you 2.4G Wi-Fi network and password
10. You will see detecting networks and then you will see 'Connecting Device'
