Yes, this is a standalone alarm system and works anywhere with either wifi or GSM as well. There are also many other languages you can set on this alarm system including:

Chinese

English

Dutch

Russian

Spanish

Polish

Italian

French

Portugese

Greek

To change language go to OSI Alarm Panel and select Menu > Settings > Language
